One Degree Off in its last configuration was formed in April of 1999 with former members of Ballhog and Sobored. Looking to forge a new sound and direction in hardcore. The Preface EP was independently recorded and released in late 2000. Closely followed by the two song demo, Seven Blocks to Victory. The band continued to their goal of searching the other sides of hardcore music until the very end of 2001. Guitarist, Jason Bowden, went on to join Bloodlined Calligraphy. Vocalist, Mike Kaminski, went on to play shows with Too Many Gods, and other local artists.
